i. Inserting an image or filling an object

To insert an image, draw an object that doesn't have any gaps or holes in its lines (draw a complete circle, square, etc.). Then click on it using the right hand mouse button. From the pop up menu, click on Image and put in the picture you want. You can also insert an image by pressing the  button.

After you have put in the picture you want, you can change it by right-clicking on it. A menu will pop up that shows you where on the computer the picture is saved. It will also tell you how the picture changes size. If you decide to make the image object (the shape holding the picture) bigger, the picture inside can be told to stay the same size (original size), to get bigger as you make the shape bigger (proportionally), or to stretch as big as you tell the shape to be (not proportionally). If you tell the computer to stretch the picture as big as you tell the shape to be (by selecting not proportionally), the picture might get fuzzy and it will print that way. But it could also be fun to stretch out the picture and see what happens.

You can also fill the shape you drew with a color. On the pop up menu we described before, you can change the color in the shape.

To fill the shape with color gradation, tick the checkbox "Gradient"and choose the start and end colors. You can also set the gradient angle and see how it looks in the preview.
